In older operating systems the program would just crash, that's it. But Vista analyzes the crash and tries to find a "solution" to the problem. After doing a quick search online I didn't find any easy way to turn this off, maybe I was looking for the wrong thing? After working it out myself I thought I would share the solution with everyone:
Step 1.
The first thing you need to do is run the appropriate program. Click Start then Run. Type "%SystemRoot%\system32\wercon.exe" and click OK.
Step 2.
You will now see the "Problem Reports and Solutions" window. Here you will click the "Change Settings" seen on the right hand side. This is followed by clicking "Advanced settings"
Step 3.
In the "Advanced settings for problem reporting" window click the "Change setting" button. From here you can turn the solution finder off by selecting the "Off" checkbox.
Step 4.
Keep clicking the OK buttons until all of the Windows are closed. You will be greeted with the following message once everything has been confirmed:
